New for 2003, exclusively developed for Magic Marine is TripleM (Megic Marine Membrane), a 3-layer fabric used for our Sportsboat Series sailing garments. This three-layer fabric consist of peachy lightweight nylon outside fabric, a waterproof/breathable film and an interior soft tricot knit fabric laminated together. TripleM fabric has a breathability of 6000 g/sqm/24hrs and a watercolumn of 20.000 mm. The seams are heat sealed to provide perfectly waterproofed garments. Three-layer fabrics create the lightest, most breathable waterproof and windproof garments on the market.
We recommend wearing Magic Marine fleece underwear underneath these garments for warmth and moisture wicking. TripleM fabrics are DWR coated (durable water repellent), this to allow water-droplets to slide of the fabric thus helping to prevent chill.

Fabric Technology
Musto clothing is recognised around the world for outstanding design and performance in the most testing conditions. Added to this, is the use of the very best technical fabrics available. Musto's development team works with top yachtsmen and women, plus the world's leading fabric manufactures to continually innovate and improve the range.

Design and Construction Technology
As we've seen, one of the distinguishing features across our extensive range of foul weather gear is the way the fabric technology manages the moisture generated inside the clothing system. The other important difference is the environment for which the clothing is designed and the detailing in the necessari zipped openings and "holes" - for heads, feet and hands. The Southern Ocean, with the prospect of days of storm force winds at sub-zero temperatures, requires a more advanced design than coastal sailing, where shelter is usually just a few hours away.

Remember that not all our competitors agree on what features are necessary for different environments. You may well find that our Offshore specification is, for example, equal to what others would call Ocean equipment. Bear this point in mind when making supposedly "like for like" comparisons. This is because we test and sall extensively and the attention to detail in Musto sailing gear is one of the things that separate it from the rest.
